James 2:8-13 should blast away anyone's desire to categorize some of our sins as small and (actually) no big deal. "Well, at least I'm not a murderer or a rapist..." This convicting message focuses on the sin of choosing people in church to hang out with who have the potential to provide us with something we want, instead of others who seem to have less potential.
